A Licensed Tax Preparer skilled with double-entry bookkeeping and proficient in Quickbooks

Meet Adam

My journey in accounting started with my own finances in high school. As a young professional musician, I began to create a number of income streams by playing musical performances around town, teaching private lessons, and doing other odd jobs that teenagers do. There was no pay statements or W-2s, so I had to develop some method to track these different income streams.

In college I continued to refine my methods and even implemented ways to analyze the data I had collected about my own freelance work. My fascination with numbers and my acute attention to detail lead to a job at a bank, where I helped people with their finances for over six years. As this fascination grew, I decided to refine my accounting skills even further by taking the Professional Bookkeeping Course from the renowned Universal Accounting School.

My greatest passion in life is playing and performing music. I am proud to also call myself a professional musician in addition to a professional bookkeeper. Playing music brings me a tremendous amount of joy, and seeing this joy transferred to audience members amplifies this joy even more, but what truly makes studying music a lifetime pursuit is its potential for infinite exploration. My burning desire to discover new things and learn more has kept me exploring music on a daily basis since middle school, and has even catapulted me into this world of bookkeeping and accounting.

I have always been fascinated by the function of numbers, and the stories they can tell. Just like a complex series of sounds can paint a picture in music, a complex pattern of numbers can paint a picture, and even predict the future! I am captivated and infinitely curious about what I can learn from numbers, and how I can help businesses become more successful by leveraging these secrets.
